Stones, trunks, sound system, 4 x 4m, variable size, 2017

précédent | suivant

An accumulation of stones and some dried trunks lie in a dark space, suggesting a fragment of archaic and timeless landscape. These immobile minerals and vegetables are accompanied by a dual sound atmosphere.
The one spatialized under the cluster of rock evokes a possible organic life: scratching, gurgling and other macroscopicdisplacements. These sounds are opposed to the present immobility and instill a notion of the living. The other source from the ceiling suggests a spatial, cosmic rumor of undulating and distorted wave frequencies emitted by planets of our solar system.
The whole carries in a delayed relation between terrestrial and spatial, creating a breach, one between two where the presence of cosmic space time is seen at various scales, from the macrocosm to the celestial.
A fictional environment, between infra and extraterrestrial.
